Winter Training 2015

Winter training is held Monday through Friday between 5.00pm and 8.00pm at Rundle Reserve, Rundle Road, Salisbury South.


Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (6-8pm)
Coaches- Adrian Pounsett and John Rich
sessions consist of Sprints, weights, field events (except hammer and pole vault).

Tuesdays and Thursdays (6-7.30pm)
Coach: Warren Davey
Sessions consist of core strengthening plus circuits, running (sprints & drills). Middle distance running on request. Long/Triple Jump included in Tuesday session.
High Jump included in Thursday session.


Wednesday (5 - 7pm)
Coach: Warren Davey Polevault for beginners/experienced athletes (5 - 6pm)
Hurdles training for beginners/experienced athletes (6 - 7.30pm)

Tuesdays and Thursdays (5-6.30pm)
Coach- Simon Moran
Sessions are directed predominantly at sprints and middle distance (can also cater for people looking at long distance).

Tuesdays and Thursdays (6.45-7.30pm)
Coach-Simon Moran
sessions are for younger runners who are new to running


Wednesdays (6-7.30pm)

Coach- Simon Moran/Sarah Weigold/ Nathan Rout-Pitt

Sessions are based around recreational runners and sessions are informal and for runners of all ages and abilities.

These sessions also double up as City to Bay worshops for the 12 weeks leading up to the 'City to Bay' and 'Bay to City' events. 

Tuesday and Thursday (4-5.30pm)
Coach- Viv Wilson
Sessions are mostly based around the throwing events.

Sunday (10 - 11.30am)

Coach: Warren Davey
Polevault for beginners/experienced athletes
Available each Sunday in summer, & by request in winter.

We have many qualified and fully accredited coaches available at each of the training facilities. The event groups covered at Salisbury are Middle Distance, Sprints, Hurdles, Throws, and Jumps. Walks and Long Distance coaching can be arranged. Distance coaching is also available at Trinity College, Gawler. Coaching by correspondence in most events is offered for country athletes by request.

Salisbury Recreational Running Group
